About me
Hey, I am Felix Lemke 👋 My family and I live in Herzebrock-Clarholz, Germany. This is where I was born and where my passion for software arised. Now I am a software engineer with a specialization in TypeScript, particularly in Angular and its ecosystem. While my formal training is in physics, I have been fascinated with programming since our first HTML class in middle school. This was the point when I developed my passion for computers, especially for software, and it still grows. Through self-study I added PHP, MySQL, Qwik, Remix, RxJS, NX, JavaScript and in 2016 Angular to my tech stack. Clean code and clean architecture is an important topic for each of my software projects.
I have mentored students in software development at several companies, in an online course on NX workspaces, at Coding Coach and AngularGirls. Topics range from collaborating with Git and Github, writing resumes, and sharing my experiences with hiring processes to a wide range of techniques in JavaScript and TypeScript. Teaching is a great way to help people and deepen my knowledge and skills.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 another topic has become very important to me. Freedom and democracy. I want my son to grow up in a peaceful world. We all want to live in a peaceful world. Therefore I think it is very important to stand up for what is right. We need to give Ukraine the support it needs to defend itself against the Russian. The European idea is an important part of it.
2004 First HTML Class
In middle school we started creating our first HTML websites. This is where it all began. My first websites were born. That was a funny time with CSS (not 3), photoshop slicing and background repetition.
2008 Learning Java
Later on I learned Java in school and continued with own apps like dart, soccer simulation, Catan.
2010 Physics B.Sc.
Physics B.Sc. at Georg-August-University in Göttingen. Learned C++, Python at university. JavaScript, PHP and MySQL in self-learning.
2015 Beckhoff Automation
For Beckhoff Automation I worked on a physics simulation for the XTS device with Matlab, NodeJS and Angular.
2016 Graduate Physics B.Sc.
Graduation of my Physics B.Sc. with 2.3, with a focus on computational physics. Start Physics M.Sc.
2019 Interfacewerk
Joining the team as a software engineer. Main focus relies on TypeScript technologies, frontend and backend.
2019 Becoming dad ❤️
My son was born in September, and I am ultimately happy to have him in my life. Update: Now he's 5, wtf.
2022 Core sanitizing a house
Remove everything and put everything back in. Just the outer walls and some of the inner walls remained. This was a great experience. I learned a lot. Most interestingly that I can do a lot more than I thought.
2024 Birth of my second son ❤️
What a funny machine transforming milk into other things.
2024 Software Engineer at Beckhoff Automation
Very happy to be back at Beckhoff Automation and to work with former colleagues again.
